Education against climate change, led by the young generation.
Located in Mwanza, Tanzania, Enviro Kids integrates environmental curricula into playful, school-based learning. Together with our partner NGO Enviro Kids e.V. in Germany, we ignite a passion for protecting our planet, alongside the children.
Environmental education for every child.
Located in Mwanza, Tanzania, Enviro Kids spearheads projects aimed at enhancing environmental conservation. Our focus lies in providing environmental education and fostering environmental awareness within the community, particularly among the youth, actively engaging with schools to integrate environmental curricula into playful learning experiences.
“In our vision of a green future, environmental consciousness becomes ingrained within every community. A future shaped by our children, starting today.”

Established in 2020 in Tanzania by Amani Nnko, Enviro Kids was born out of a pioneering vision. Amani and his friend Jeremiah recognized the urgent need for sustainable change in the face of recurring drought seasons, and a critical lack of environmental education that kept communities from grasping the direct correlation between drought and deforestation.
Enviro Kids steps in to bridge this gap, instilling environmental awareness from a young age. As we execute our projects in Tanzania, our initiatives are bolstered by our partner NGO, Enviro Kids e.V., based in Germany, working toward a green future where environmental consciousness becomes ingrained within every community, shaped by our children, starting today.

Schools & Clubs
Mwanza is greening up, we love it.
While sustainable education serves as the foundation for change, we firmly believe in its practical implementation. Alongside our educational initiatives, we actively engage students in hands-on activities such as tree planting, giving children the chance to apply their newfound knowledge while fostering a sense of responsibility within the community.
In recent months, we've established tree nurseries at our partner schools, maintained by students through their school clubs. Our leading boys' secondary school alone has successfully planted and safeguarded over 200,000 trees, poised to be distributed within their school premises and the surrounding communities.

Four programs. One outcome: action!
Each program reinforces the next: knowledge in the classroom, leadership in the club, living proof in the nursery, and circular habits that keep it all clean.
Environmental Education
We bring a full environmental curriculum into schools, teaching the science of climate change, conservation, and sustainability in ways that connect to students' daily lives.
School Environmental Clubs
School clubs give young environmental advocates a place to gather, plan, and lead local conservation projects, turning classroom lessons into real action in their neighborhoods.
Tree Nurseries
Students raise thriving tree nurseries on school grounds, picking up real horticulture skills while moving Tanzania's reforestation goals forward, one seedling at a time.
Waste Management Training & Circularity
Students train in practical waste management (sorting, composting, and recycling) and put it to work through our waste bin project, placing sorting bins in schools so waste becomes a resource instead of litter.
Sustainability and environmental education.
Why environmental education sits at the heart of everything we do.

Education is the most powerful and dominant influence which can be used to change the world.

We need to educate ourselves about the importance of environmental education, to make the world a better place to live in.

With the help of volunteers we are determined to ensure our generations develop environmental awareness and bring changes for a sustainable future.
How we work.
A few simple commitments that shape every program, partnership, and conversation.
Rooted in Tanzania
Our work begins in Mwanza, with Tanzanian teachers, students, and communities. Every program is shaped by what the land and the people in front of us actually need.
Connecting Global Climate Perspectives
As Enviro Kids Organization and Enviro Kids e.V., working together across borders to fight climate change is part of our daily life. A global crisis like climate change needs global solutions, so we have become a shared hub with exchange formats that bring young people from around the world together to develop intercultural, interconnected, and globally powerful climate initiatives.
Youth Led
Children and young people are not the audience: they are the leaders. We hand them the lessons, the tools, and the soil, and they take it from there.
Education First
Education is the most powerful and dominant influence to change the world. We build environmental literacy that lasts a lifetime, starting with the youngest of us.
Community Powered
Lasting change happens when families, schools, and neighborhoods move together. We partner widely and share credit even more widely.
